What is Cognitive Behaviour Hypnotherapy?


Cognitive Behaviour Hypnotherapy is an evidence based therapy which draws on both non-hypnotic Cognitive Behaviour Therapy models and is enhanced with the use of hypnosis. It's an active therapy where we work together to identify specific goals you want to reach and you will be given activities to complete in between sessions.


We work on raising your self awareness about self-limiting beliefs which may be holding you back and maintaining your cycles of anxiety. The idea is that you will learn techniques you can continue to use after the therapy sessions are complete. You will learn relaxation, mindfulness, self hypnosis & assertiveness techniques and how to transform your self-limiting beliefs to break the cycles which maintain your anxiety.


The power of the mind is truly amazing and learning to unravel and let go of deeply held beliefs that hold us back is empowering. All hypnosis is self hypnosis!


The therapist just guides you to use your focused attention and imagination, empowering you to find our own authentic true self through a journey of discovery and awareness raising using evidence based Cognitive Behaviour therapy techniques, which is enhanced with Hypnosis. The idea is that you learn techniques to use after the therapy sessions, so that you can be your own therapist.

How many sessions will I need?


Usually between 5 to 8 sessions, but this can vary from person to person, depending on their situation. We would review this at session 4.
